Malin Akerman was born Malin Akermanden in Stockholm on the 12th of May 1978. She was raised in Ontario Canada. Akerman became famous for her role as Laurie Jolie/Silk Spectre I on Watchmen. Akerman also played Lara Axelrod in the infamous television series Billions. The show is noteworthy because she was in the naked scenes of the movies Guardians and Deplorability Youthster. Akerman began her career as a model, before transforming to acting, and she has since appeared in numerous films and television shows. The most well-known of her roles are Silk Spectre II (in the film adaptation of Watchmen) and Lara Axelrod (in the television show Billions). Akerman recorded music for the Petalstones band.
