The fame of her was born when she took on an important role in the horror slasher film Scream. Film was hugely successful in the commercial world and made over eleven times the budget. Also, it was lauded by the reviewers. In all three sequels in which she was a part-time actress, she played the same character. After playing the leading role in Friends the hit sitcom that made her famous, her stardom grew. Her work was acknowledged with several nominations and awards. The show was extremely popular and ran for a ten-year period. Recent works of hers include an acting role as a character in Mothers and Daughters, a drama film. A few of the awards received by her are she was awarded the TV Guide Award for her character in Friends as well as the Golden Derby Award for her role in the TV series Cougar Town.
